Janeiro Digital at Solid World: NHS Personal Health Stores with XFORM Health and Solid
By Janeiro Digital | June 11, 2021
The Janeiro Digital team presented to Solid World on their work with the UK’s NHS, one of the earliest adopters of the decentralized web. The presentation highlights how XFORM is connecting existing information systems with decentralized solutions based on Solid protocols, to enable patients and clinicians to share information more securely and efficiently than ever before.
Healthcare, and the NHS in particular, is one of the most complex data-sharing environments that exists; getting information exchange as well as, data security right, can be a matter of life and death.
In collaboration with Salford Royal NHS Trust alongside the Greater Manchester NHS Digital Platform program, Janeiro Digital connected the decentralized web using XFORM, with the electronic health record (EHR) system to collect and process patient data from the numerous NHS systems. The information was then hosted in individual patient PODS owned by the patients, who could then give their healthcare teams consented access to the data.
Watch the video for a full demo to see how the decentralized web and XFORM is working in the real word.
