On the evening of Friday, April 28, 2017, fundraising records were successfully broken in support of a cause that Janeiro Digital holds near and dear to our heart.
Our CEO and Co-Founder, Jonathan Bingham, sits on the Board of Directors for Horizons for Homeless Children, an organization for which he’s extremely passionate. This year marked their 28th Annual Spring Gala titled “Honoring our Past, Celebrating our Future.” The event included interactive experiences such as a backpack wall symbolizing the children in need, presentations of educational approaches that promote early-age critical thinking, 360-degree videos of the organization’s different programs, and much more. The evening, held at the Cyclorama in the South End of Boston, exceeded all expectations.
The mission of Horizons for Homeless Children is to ‘Preserve the Power of Childhood.’ To help in accomplishing this mission, the organization provides world-class early education, vital opportunities for children to find time for play throughout more than 120 shelter-based Playspaces, and support for parents through encouragement and strategic advice that assists them in reclaiming their independence.
Every week, 52 weeks a year, Horizons for Homeless Children serves a total of more than 2,000 homeless children. Find ways you can help make a difference through donating a gift, hosting an event, becoming a corporate sponsor, or volunteering at: www.horizonschildren.org/how-you-can-help
Janeiro Digital will be hosting our own 3rd Annual Benefit this August in Nantucket. In years past, we’ve raised upwards of $100,000 and hope to far surpass this in 2017. Join Janeiro Digital’s Robin Hood Crew this summer in breaking records of our own! More details to come.
